First Producing Project – Joes Mix
So, the other day a friend came to me with a need. It wasn’t more cowbell, but it should have been. He had some ideas for cutting together some tracks, for a DJ contest he wanted to enter. After some flopping around in Pro Tools like an adolescent fish.. here’s what we came up with.
Travel. Its whats for dinner
Holy crap. These past few weeks have taken a toll on me. Lost 6 lbs. I’ve barely been home at all this month and while a part of me likes to see some new places, I feel very disconnected from any sort of real life that I might have had here in Dallas. It’s clear things don’t stop because I’m gone.
So. I’m back for a week, them off to San Diego for a week at ctia.
I really need to get up to my boat. If I can’t get up there any more often than I have this past year, i should really just sell it. It’s cost me over a grand each trip I make, given how often I go and mortgage, slip fees and insurance. Oh well. The price of success I guess.
FluidHTML on TC50
Pretty cool alternative to HTML5. Flash becomes searchable and doesn’t break usability standards

New focus on blog
Now that I have a new life in word press and many ways to post to it, I’m going to be gracing these pages with much more content.
Most of it will probably be of Little to no value to you, but maybe now and again you’ll be able to take away a little nugget that’s worth while.
WordPress Updated
Just getting my personal website updated and am going to start blogging some more.

Interview: Ryan Wuerch, CEO, Motricity: IPO Still An Opportunity; ‘M&A Will Be A Part Of Our Core’ | mocoNews.net
I wonder if anyone really takes him seriously anymore. As near as I can tell the only folks who are still in bed w/ Motricity on the premium content side of the house are those who can’t get away juet yet.

This last year
The last year (or so) have seen some pretty significant changes in my life very much brought about by moving away from my “work at home” gig and getting back into the corporate world.. steady income, with everything that comes with that.
So, in order I have, in the last year:
- took up golfing again (after 12 years or so)
- bought a sailboat
- Got Lasik (had been legally blind before)
- Quit smoking (after 16 years of more than a pack a day)
- Started training for a 5K run. (preliminarily scheduled for a week from Saturday.. 7/12)
- Changed my diet.. no more crap
There may be another rather large change coming up soon as well. If it comes through I’ll talk much more about it.
I feel good about what I’ve done in the last year. I’m healthier, more alert, happy etc than I have been in a long, long time.. have many pursuits that I enjoy.. but I don’t think I’m done.
I’ll try to keep blogging a bit more from here on out.
